ACTION 45

A straight ahead aural attack of punk rock ditties.

ACTION 45 bring a taste of Social Distortion mixed in with a more polished, Jello Biafra-esque vocal melody style, laid on top of the piston pumping, new school rhythms. Well performed by lead singer Deuce X. Machina and crew. Solid production from this four piece from Los Angeles, kudos to engineer David Swanson.

It's definitely gonna get you in the mood to hop into the pit, or at least go buy some Manic Panic to tint your hair a new shade of rock. This 12 track collection of old school meets new school songs, have some stand outs, -- "Code of Silence" and the lead track,  "Bastards of America," have solid driving hooks, and really shows off their old school influences.  Guitarist Jake lush offers up some great riffs, that blend well with the tight rhythm section of Chris Insincere (drums) and Christopher Plank (bass).

I have to admit I thought this band was from O.C. Their sound reminds me of a lot of bands from that area, but they have a certain "thing," that sounds like a fit, in the modern punk,  tour circuit around Los Angeles. ACTION 45 got my head bobbing!  I will try to catch one of their live shows for sure!
